The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected Four Points Technology LLC (Herndon, Va.) to provide it with integration and maintenance services for the deployment of InterSystems Corporation's CACHÉ, an object database designed to make applications faster and more scalable.

According to InterSystems, a provider of database and integration software, the contract for enterprise software and maintenance services, with an initial value of approximately $34.9 million, includes option periods which, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value to an estimated $183.7 million.

Four Points Technology, a service-disabled veteran owned small business focused on providing IT products and services to the Federal government, contends it was selected to act as the solutions partner for InterSystems technology through a competitive small business veteran owned contract process.
