Zotec Merges with EmPhysis

Zotec Partners LLC (Carmel, Ind.), a provider of medical billing services and licensed software to hospital-based physician specialty practices, has merged with EmPhysis Medical Management (Rockwall, Texas), a provider of practice management systems for radiology, anesthesiology and pathology.

According to Zotec, EmPhysis' current clients now have access to enhanced product offerings and practice management tools to make its operations more efficient. In addition, Zotec contends it will continue to retain dedicated employees, focus on the business needs of physicians, and use leading-edge technology and information systems.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
