Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ, Newark, N.J.) has signed an agreement with Ariba Inc. (Sunnyvale, Calif.), a provider of spend management solutions, in an effort to facilitate procurement processes.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ariba contends Horizon BCBSNJ, the largest health plan in N.J., will leverage its on-demand Procure-to-Pay offering to enhance its sourcing process and increase efficiency.
According to Ariba, its Procure-To-Pay solution combines the functionality of Ariba Buyer, Ariba Invoice, Ariba Settlement and Ariba Analysis in a single, integrated solution.
