Salt Lake City-headquartered 3M Health Information Systems has rolled out new versions of its ChartView and Electronic Signature Authentication (ESA) Software with features designed to streamline workflow by promoting more efficient document management.

The new products offer secure access to the patient chart with the ability to sign the chart from any workstation on a hospital network, via the Internet, or from remote locations, the company touts.

The updated applications merge both Web and desktop versions into a single platform. According to 3M, the ChartView Software provides the hospital care team with simultaneous access to the complete patient record, including transcribed documents, digital audio dictation files (with 3M VoiceScript Software), scanned images, photos and patient information interfaced from third-party systems.
