Nuance Communications, Inc., a Burlington, Mass.-based supplier of speech solutions, says eClinicalWorks (Westborough, Mass.) and McKesson (Alpharetta, Ga.) Practice Partner have successfully completed its Dragon Medical EHR Certification Program.

The program was developed to facilitate collaboration between Nuance and EHR vendors, and to optimize clinician use of EHRs by introducing a new standard of speech recognition interoperability, says the company. The idea is that speech recognition can enable physicians to more effectively and efficiently document their findings through dictation into electronic records, according to Nuance.
