Southeast Alabama Medical Center (Dothan, Ala.) and Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center (McComb, Miss.) have signed contracts for long-term archiving and disaster recovery services with Wallingford, Conn.-based InSite One, Inc. and Wayne, Pa.-based SunGard.
Southeast Alabama, a 400-bed regional referral center serving residents in the neighboring communities and counties of Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia and the Florida Panhandle, is deploying InSite One’s InDex OnSite to focus on Tier 1 storage while InSite One manages the archive. The InDex standards-based approach has created an enterprise imaging archive that will serve radiology, digital mammography and cardiology, says the company.
Southwest Mississippi, a 160-bed hospital serving a seven-county area, will leverage InSite One and InDex Enterprise Archive for long-term archiving and disaster recovery services. It is also using SunGard’s Recovery Services for critical applications.
