Yale-New Haven Hospital, part of the 1,543-bed Yale New Haven Health System (Conn.), is deploying diagnostic image sharing technology from Newton, Mass.-based lifeIMAGE.
The platform will be utilized to collect and share critical diagnostic imaging data at Smilow Cancer Hospital and within the trauma unit during emergency transfers from remote locations, says the company. With lifeIMAGE’s lila InBox, the facility can create an image management interface that be used to upload or access imaging data and migrate it to the PACS. Users can receive, manage and share portable media such as patient CDs within an enterprise.
Yale-New Haven Hospital is a 944-bed tertiary referral center which includes Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven, the 201-bed Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and the 76-bed Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. It is the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine.
