U.K.-based GE Healthcare is introducing a Web-based educational program designed to improve processes that can help prevent hospital-acquired infections and conditions.

The program, “Preventing Hospital-Acquired Complications,” covers areas for which the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) no longer provides reimbursement if complications occur in the hospital.

According to the company, program objectives are to address early recognition, treatment and avoidance of the most common preventable complications.
