DeKalb Medical, a not-for-profit system located in Decatur, Ga., will deploy MRO’s (King of Prussia, Pa.) ROI Online software and service.

According to the company, the solution will allow the medical records department to exert more control over the ROI process, efficiently respond to ROI requests, and streamline delivery to internal and external requesters.

Once a medical records request has been received by DeKalb Medical’s HIM department, the relevant charts are uploaded onto ROI Online. MRO then completes the process, including handling requester communications and fulfillment requirements from billing, collections and logging/tracking to the distribution of requested records. MRO then remits a percentage of the revenue back to the health system on a monthly basis.

DeKalb Medical is a not-for-profit hospital system in metropolitan Atlanta that includes a 451-bed facility in North Decatur, a 76-bed facility in downtown Decatur, a 100-bed facility in Lithonia, and primary care locations throughout the community.
