Shared Health, a public/private health information exchange based in Chattanooga, Tenn., is deploying Santa Monica, Calif.-based Orion Health’s Concerto Portal to enable an integrated EHR and provide access to its clinical data platform, Shared Health Clinical Xchange.

Logging into Clinical Xchange enables clinicians to view patient information, prescribe medications using the Allscripts ePrescribing application, and update critical health data using custom forms from within Concerto, says the company.

The Shared Health platform is also deploying Orion Health’s chronic disease management solution to create an online form of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (TNAAP) child wellness, safety and nutrition guidelines. By creating electronic forms based on the existing TNAAP system, immunization records, safety and wellness statistics from across the state can be tracked to better target and respond to child health issues, it touts.
