Raleigh, N.C,-based Misys Healthcare Systems says it will enhance its EMR for targeted use within specialty medical practices through a contract with Wolters Kluwer Health (Conshohocken, Pa.).

According to the company, the agreement will enable a wide range of specialty physicians to use the software with no specialty-specific customization required. The first installment of the Misys MyWay offering Wolters Kluwer-enhanced clinical content will focus on primary care and cardiology. The company expects it to be available in July 2008.

Wolters Kluwer Health is a provider of information for professionals and students in medicine, nursing, allied health, pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry.
