Englewood Hospital and Medical Center (Englewood, N.J.) is replacing its existing clinical and financial systems with a suite of Horizon Clinicals solutions from Alpharetta, Ga.-based McKesson Corp.

The 520-bed medical center will implement CPOE, bar-code medication administration and interdisciplinary clinical documentation for nurses and physicians, according to the company. Englewood also plans to roll out McKesson’s Horizon Enterprise Revenue Management solution, which combines rules-based software and connectivity services to streamline revenue cycle management processes.

The investment is part of a transformational initiative to better serve Englewood’s patient community while enabling the hospital to qualify for incentives under ARRA. The Medical Center plans to implement solutions that will support improved clinical and financial operations in its new $35 million emergency care center, it says.
