Omaha’s Nebraska Health Information Initiative (NeHII), an initiative designed to facilitate the sharing of clinical and administrative data among providers throughout the state has expanded to Central Nebraska using San Diego-based Axolotl’s Elysium Exchange platform, the company says.
According to Axolotl, with the Elysium Exchange, the physicians and medical staff of Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings are able to communicate electronically and exchange patient information with other hospitals and physicians throughout Nebraska. Referrals, laboratory results, radiology reports and other patient data are available in existing EMRs or in Axolotl’s Elysium EMR, the company touts.
In addition, the statewide Elysium Virtual Health Record provides authorized physicians with direct access to all available patient data, at the point of care.
NeHII provides connectivity for Nebraska hospitals, labs, physicians, pharmacies, and clinics. It includes more than 3.7 million laboratory results and 1.25 million radiology reports, which are accessible for authorized users.
