Denmark's Odense Hospital Deploys ECM Suite

Denmark's largest hospital, 1045-bed Odense University Hospital, has implemented OnBase, London-based Hyland Software Inc.'s suite of enterprise content management software applications.

OnBase is integrated with OdenseUniversityHospital' EHR. According to Hyland, Odense is using OnBase to ensure compliance with national regulations on document retention; prior to implementing OnBase, Odense storage space for paper-based documents and patients' records spanned more than nine kilometers. The company says Odense is now able to retrieve documents associated with the patient's EHR 64 times faster than previous manual paper processes.

Implementation of the product was through Denmark-based KIBI Software Solutions.
