CoxHealth in Springfield, Mo., selected MEDHOST’s (Addison, Texas) full-suite software to automate its three emergency departments and two urgent care centers.

The EDIS, says the company, will first be deployed at Cox North in late 2009, followed by Cox South, Cox Monett, CoxHealth Adult Urgent Care and Pediatric Urgent Care in 2010.

The Cox South ED receives more than 65,000 visits annually, and the other CoxHealth EDs and urgent care centers receive more than 90,000 visits combined.
