Austin, Texas-based Opus Healthcare Solutions has introduced the latest version of OpusLaboratorySuite, which includes remote reporting that it says allows clinicians to view results on a smart phone or PDA via a cell phone network or hospital Wi-Fi connection.

The solution can be integrated with hospital information systems, and is available on an installed or ASP basis. It includes features such as rule-based reporting, quality control prompts and call management, and provides integrated data export to Microsoft Office as well, says the company.
