Research in Motion (RIM) has launched the BlackBerry Pearl 8130, the first BlackBerry Pearl smartphone to run on CDMA (code division multiple access)

Research in Motion (RIM) has launched the BlackBerry Pearl 8130, the first BlackBerry Pearl smartphone to run on CDMA (code division multiple access) networks.

According to RIM (Ontario, Canada), the new BlackBerry Pearl 8130 features:

Â· A new "Page View" option which allows users to quickly zoom in on a specific area of a full web page

Â· New font rendering technology for clearer type even at small font sizes

Â· Rich multimedia capabilities, including a 2 megapixel camera and an improved media player that allows users to create and edit playlists right on the handset

Â· Bluetooth 2.0 support for hands-free use with headsets, car kits and Bluetooth peripherals

Â· Enhanced phone audio quality and background noise cancellation for better performance in loud environments

Â· Built-in GPS and BlackBerry Maps navigation program

Â· Support for high-speed EV-DO networks
