Medical Network, Inc. (MedNet), Portland, Maine’s largest independent preferred provider organization, has formed an alliance with Watertown, Mass.-based athenahealth for an integrated EHR service.

The relationship will enable MedNet providers in all 16 counties access to athenaClinicalsSM, and revenue cycle management service and athenaCollectorSM, as well as its EHR, which will aid in compliance with HITECH, says the company.

MedNet is a physician owned and directed organization of more than 4,000 combined physicians, allied health providers, ancillary facilities and hospitals.
