Atlanta-based WellCentive announced the launch of two new healthcare information technology (HIT) solutions designed to share patient data within a community of providers.

WellCentive Gateway allows providers, such as physicians, to access patient data from a variety of outside HIT systems, and WellCentive Connect is a technology platform which receives data from a variety of community HIT systems and can forward it to physicians, insurance companies and other authorized parties, according to the company.

Insurance companies and hospitals are also able to utilize WellCentive Connect to streamline IT operations, says the company, adding that hospitals can maintain a single outbound interface within the WellCentive Connect system.
