Carestream Snaps Up Imaging Contracts
Carestream Health Inc. (Rochester, N.Y.) has recently signed contracts for its Kodak Mammography CAD System with the following facilities:
- Breast Center of Lansing (Lansing, Mich.)
- Laurel Diagnostics (Laurel, Md.)
- Metroplex Hospital (Killeen, Texas)
- Mountain Community Hospital (Lake Arrowhead, Calif.)
According to Carestream, computer-aided detection (CAD) software uses sophisticated algorithms to help identify suspicious areas on imaging exams, so radiologists can closely examine these regions for possible disease during a second review.
