The Falls Church, Va.-based The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Force Health Protection & Readiness Program Office (Fairfax, Va.) has awarded Vangent

The Falls Church, Va.-based The Department of Defense’s (DoD) Force Health Protection & Readiness Program Office (Fairfax, Va.) has awarded Vangent (Arlington, Va.) a $23 million contract to manage and enhance its automated information systems.

According to the company, the four-year agreement will support systems integration, operations, and maintenance, in addition to the management and administration of Sensitive but Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information networks.

Vangent will also provide help desk support for deployed DoD Medical Surveillance Systems and information assurance services, including DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process, says the company. Vangent will serve as the prime contractor, with subcontractors Akimeka, LLC, DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc. and Seidcon, Inc.
