Beauregard Memorial Hospital (DeRidder, La.) is implementing the OpenVista EHR solution from Carlsbad, Calif.-based Medsphere Systems Corporation to improve clinical outcomes through automated care and enhanced communication.

According to the company, Beauregard is on track to fully deploy OpenVista by June 2010 and become eligible for financial incentives as outlined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The company claims the flexibility offered by open-source technology enables it to provide a portfolio of clinical transformation services by tailoring OpenVista to the specific needs of the hospital.

Beauregard Memorial is a 60-bed, acute care community hospital. It is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is an affiliate of Voluntary Hospitals of America.
