Aurora, Ill.-based Rush-Copley Medical Center has selected Chicago-based Allscripts to provide EMR and practice management for its group of 45 physicians.
The Allscripts solution automates common tasks such as prescribing and refilling medications, ordering and viewing tests, and documenting care, the company claims. It touts it delivers a robust practice management and EMR system built on one platform, enabling a practice’s clinical and business operations to work hand-in-hand for better communication and improved accuracy.
Founded in 1886 as Aurora City Hospital, Rush-Copley Medical is a 183-bed hospital that includes a level II trauma center, comprehensive cancer center and level III neonatal intensive care unit.
