Wyoming, Mich.-based Metro Health Hospital has chosen Optimal Solutions Inc.'s eVideon system to improve patient care and satisfaction through in-room patient education and entertainment.

The introduction of the eVideon healthcare solution coincides with the opening of the newly constructed Metro Health Hospital where eVideon delivers personalized information and entertainment to patients and staff, says the software development and engineering company also based in Wyoming, Mich. With eVideon, patients, visitors and staff have access to a variety of digital media, including digital TV, commercial-free satellite radio, DVD-quality newly released movies and professional development, the company says.

Metro Health Hospital is a 208-bed general acute care osteopathic teaching hospital that serves more than 130,000 patients in Kent and surrounding counties in Michigan.
