The Canadian province of Manitoba has chosen dbMotion, a provider of health interoperability and intelligence solutions, to connect acute and community care providers throughout the province.

As a result of the technology, each resident’s health history – including medications, labs, diagnostic images and hospital records – will be accessible to authorized caregivers.

Design and implementation of the project, being conducted in partnership with IBM Canada, is expected to start immediately with implementation beginning in 2010.
