Huntsville Hospital (Huntsville, Ala.) and Kaleida Health (Buffalo, N.Y.), have signed on to utilize Atlanta-based Eclipsys Corporation’s Sunrise EPSi decision support and performance management system.

The company recently unveiled a new Strategic Product Budgeting module to Sunrise EPSi that integrates planning and operating budgeting processes into one solution, it says. The tool captures clinical and financial data, and has capabilities that enable users to factor in changes that can impact strategic plans, such as in treatment patterns, payer mix, rates, market share or cost structure, according to Eclipsys.

Huntsville Hospital is an 881-bed acute care facility that serves as a teaching hospital for the University of Alabama-Birmingham’s School of Medicine and Family Practice Residency Program.

A five-hospital system, Kaleida Health is the largest healthcare provider in Western New York, serving the area’s eight counties with state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive healthcare services.
