Pittsburg-based MED3OOO Inc., a national healthcare management and technology company, recently appointed Stephen Ura to the position of chief technology officer and senior vice president.

According to the company, Ura will oversee the information systems strategy and infrastructure for MED3OOO's IT operations, as well as the continued development of MED3OOO's M3/IQ data warehouse and reporting technology. In addition, he will direct the privacy and security initiatives related to all of the company's information systems and networks.

Earlier in his career, Ura was with A4 Health Systems in Cary, N.C., refocusing the company on the development and delivery of clinical software products. He served on the board of directors at A4, and later helped in acquiring its first round of venture funding. A4 was later acquired by Allscripts.

His most recent experience was serving as vice president of development for the HealthMatics product line for Allscripts. In this role, he led the product management, software development, and quality assurance teams for HealthMatics.
