Virtua, a four-hospital health system based in Marlton, N.J., is deploying the NextGen EHR system from Horsham, Pa.-based NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc. across its Virtua Medical Group network of 23 practice locations.

The solution, which will also be offered to Virtua’s network of community-based physicians, is a CCHIT Certified 2008 Ambulatory EHR designed to provide built-in clinical content and workflow for more than 25 specialties, says the company.

In addition to its four hospitals — Virtua Memorial and Virtua Berlin, Marlton and Voorhees — the organization also provides services from an outpatient health center in Camden, outpatient surgery centers in Mt. Holly and Voorhees, a home care service, rehabilitation and nursing centers, and the William G. Rohrer Center for HealthFitness in Voorhees.
