Milwaukee, Wis.-based Merge Healthcare has introduced Merge TeleRead, an application for teleradiology workflow to offshore sites.

Merge TeleRead integrates with Merge's Fusion RIS/PACS and Fusion RIS/PACS MX solutions, and, according to the company, enables radiologists to place studies in work lists that can be manually or automatically transmitted to an offshore reading center.

The solution also allows prior reports, image studies, scanned documents and relevant patient demographics to be sent to reading center radiologists.
