Piedmont Healthcare, a not-for-profit organization based in Statesville, N.C., is deploying Sunrise EPSi, an integrated performance improvement solution from Eclipsys Corporation (Atlanta).

Through the implementation, Piedmont hopes to streamline its financial reporting and analysis processes for improved business performance and organizational efficiency by replacing disparate legacy technologies in its four hospitals, it says. With the solution, users can obtain daily updates to more accurately determine the costs of providing patient care, and can utilize dashboard views to review data either at a procedure code level, diagnosis related group level, or by doctor or product line, according to the company.

Piedmont Healthcare is the parent company of Piedmont Hospital, a 481-bed acute tertiary care facility; Piedmont Fayette Hospital, 143-bed acute care community hospital; Piedmont Mountainside Hospital, 42-bed community hospital; and Piedmont Newnan Hospital, a 143-bed acute care facility, as well as a primary care physician group and a multi-specialty physician network.
