The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) will accept applications for its inpatient electronic health records pilot until March 30.
Preparation for pilot testing will begin in early April, with testing to follow in late April and early May.
Pilot participation is open to any company that has an inpatient EHR product offering computer-based provider order entry (CPOE) and electronic medication administration (eMAR) functions. Companies that only offer eMAR also are invited to apply online.
