The CIO of St. Louis, Mo.-based Gateway EDI (GEDI), David Cheli, has been selected president of the HIMSS Midwest Gateway Chapter Board of Directors.

According to GEDI, a national provider of electronic data interchange (EDI), Cheli will drive the operation and direction of the HIMSS Midwest Chapter.

Cheli has been involved with HIMSS for several years, as a Midwest Gateway Chapter Board Member, a member of the AFEHCT Financial Steering Committee, and as chair of the HIMSS AFEHCT Education Work Group, says the company.
