The Bronx Regional Health Information Organization (BronxRHIO, New York) is deploying San Jose, Calif.-based Axolotl Corp.’s Elysium Exchange suite of solutions to enable providers to securely access and share clinical information.
According to the company, the goal of the implementation is to clinically network disparate legacy health information and EMR systems for interoperability among providers. Physician practices that don’t have an electronic record can join the Bronx HIE with Axolotl’s CCHIT certified Elysium EMR Lite and immediately begin receiving and sharing data, it touts.
The BronxRHIO is a not-for-profit organization serving the 1.4 million residents in the Bronx. Its participants provide more than 80 percent of the healthcare in the Bronx and include hospitals, health systems, ambulatory care centers, individual physician offices, long-term care and home care services.
