Chesterfield, Mo.-based Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. is launching a new version of its Resource Management System and periop Resource Management System.

The update includes an improved Physician Access module incorporating managed care guidelines to let the physician office know if a diagnosis does not meet medical necessity, and a new patient-centric work queue enabling staff to manage all issues related to one patient without visiting multiple queues, according to the company. Additional enhancements include a report on incomplete surgical checklists, the newest version of Medicare’s ABN, and the ability to alter a procedure’s duration if it is included in an order set.
