Dallas-based Carlin & Associates, LLC released its Transcription Warning Index, a proprietary tool that evaluates and scores transcription performance for hospitals and healthcare facilities.

The company says the Transcription Warning Index works by evaluating four key variables – physician satisfaction, cost, quality and turnaround time – to calculate overall transcription performance. The higher the score, the greater the probability that significant improvement can be achieved in the transcription process.

In addition, says the company, the Transcription Warning Index also acts as an early indicator of significant risk and exposure in the current operations.
