Mercy Medical Center (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) is expanding its platform from Newton, Mass.-based PatientKeeper, Inc. to enable the exchange of data between its PatientKeeper Physician Information System and its Sage Intergy EHR from Tampa, Fla.-based Sage Software Healthcare, Inc.

Mercy will deploy PatientKeeper’s Physician Practice Connector, which will allow providers access to inpatient and outpatient information at any time and from any location through the Sage Intergy EHR. Through the implementation, the organization hopes to optimize patient care and improve efficiency, say the companies.

Mercy Medical Center is a 445-bed regional hospital that was founded in 1900 by the Sisters of Mercy.
