MemorialCare Medical Center, a not-for-profit health system with six hospitals in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif., has installed a two-site ExaGrid (Westborough, Mass.) system for data backups and restores.

One of the ExaGrid disk-based backup systems was installed at the Center’s Long Beach facility and another was placed at a co-location facility in Torrance, Calif. The systems work alongside MemorialCare’s backup application. According to the company, the facility is planning to place ExaGrid systems at each of its hospitals to replicate the data between locations for disaster recovery purposes.
