Yale-New Haven Hospital (New Haven, Conn.) and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (Lebanon, N.H.) are implementing asset visibility solutions from Redwood City, Calif-based AeroScout, Inc.
Yale-New Haven is deploying AeroScout’s Asset Management and Temperature Monitoring solutions to more efficiently manage and track assets such as infusion pumps and to monitor the temperatures of refrigerated items. The solution will leverage Yale-New Haven’s existing Cisco Unified Wireless Network, enabling campus-wide asset tracking and condition monitoring at a low total cost of ownership, says the company.
Yale-New Haven Hospital is a 944-bed tertiary referral center that includes a children’s and a psychiatric hospital.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) has installed AeroScout’s Wi-Fi RFID asset tracking and management solution in an effort to increase the utilization of critical medical equipment, facilitate the cleaning, maintenance and repair processes, and help ensure prompt equipment availability for patient care, it says.
According to the company, DHMC plans to expand the solution, doubling the number of assets tracked and extending across additional departments. Dartmouth-Hitchcock is also planning to use AeroScout’s Temperature Monitoring solution to replace its current manual monitoring process.
A nationally ranked academic medical center, DHMC consists of Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic, Dartmouth Medical School and the Veterans Affairs Regional Medical and Office Center in White River Junction, Vt.
