NYU Langone Medical Center (New York) is implementing the My Patient Passport Express kiosk from Mequon, Wis.-based D2 Sales in an effort to improve the patient check-in process, the company says.

According to D2 Sales, the kiosk enables patients to check-in, make future appointments, and update medical history using a HIPAA-compliant privacy touch screen monitor. Patients can may payments using a credit card, and sign documents using the integrated electronic signature pad, it says.

NYU Langone Medical Center consists of the NYU School of Medicine and three hospitals: Tisch Hospital, a 705-bed acute-care general hospital, Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, and NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. It also includes the NYU Cancer Institute, the NYU Child Study Center, and the Hassenfeld Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
