InSites and Sonitor Form Alliance

InSites Inc. (Hood River, Ore.) and Sonitor Technologies Inc.(Oslo, Norway) have formed a strategic alliance to market their combined real-time location solution to healthcare organizations.

Under the agreement, Sonitor's ultrasound-based indoor positioning system (IPS) will become a preferred technology for providing room-level location information to InSites' patient and asset tracking software, contends Sonitor.

According to Sonitor, both companies will coordinate sales and marketing efforts for their integrated system to a variety of healthcare organizations, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities.
