Beth Israel Deaconess Physicians Organization (BIDPO)/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) has contracted with North Chelmsford, Mass.-based Concordant Inc. to help build and manage an EHR infrastructure for its independent physicians.

Concordant is developing the scalable IT infrastructure, starting with up to 300 BIDPO/BIDMC practices in 173 locations.

The BIDPO EHR project is currently in the design and planning stage and is expected to begin the pilot phase beginning in the spring of 2008.
