    Merge Healthcare (Milwaukee), a medical imaging solutions provider, has launched its Managed Services initiative.

    According to Merge, the first service of the initiative is Merge’s Off Site Disaster Recovery solution which is designed to provide HIPAA compliant back up of radiology images and information. This service provides hospitals and imaging centers with a business continuity solution in the event of system failure, unplanned downtime or natural disaster, says the company.

    Merge’s Off Site Disaster Recovery service includes 24/7 system monitoring via its ViewCheck software, as well as online retrieval of archived studies, and an audit trail of studies from the customer site to Merge’s data center.
