Bert Fish Medical Center, a 112-bed community hospital based in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., is deploying GateKeeper technology from Xceedium, Inc. (Jersey City, N.J.) to provide secure remote administration.

According to the company, the solution is designed to compartmentalize and contain high-risk users to authorized areas, and enable efficient management of critical infrastructure without the need for installation of additional software at every remote location. GateKeeper centralizes remote access, ensuring that once employees are granted access to the network, they are not able to access unauthorized systems and equipment, it says.

Bert Fish provides services for residents and visitors in Southeast Volusia County, Fla., offering a wide range of services including ICU, PCU, surgery program, radiology, an oncology center and an emergency department.
