Mark D. Amey was appointed CIO at USC University Hospital (Los Angeles), where he will lead the development and implementation of IT strategic plans

Mark D. Amey was appointed CIO at USC University Hospital (Los Angeles), where he will lead the development and implementation of IT strategic plans and procedures.

According to USC, his top priority will be to create a seamless information delivery system among the organization’s entities, enhancing faculty and staff communication and patient care.

Amey previously served as regional CIO and vice president of Ascension Health Information Services in Tucson, Ariz., and the Carondelet Health Network hospitals of Ascension Health. Prior to that, Amey was CIO of the Southern California region for Adventist Health, which included five hospitals.

USC University Hospital is a private, 411-bed acute care hospital staffed by The Doctors of USC, who are also faculty at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
