The General Authority for Health Services (Abu Dhabi, United Arabic Emirates), in partnership with ITQAN, a systems integrator for businesses in the United Arab Emirates, has chosen InfoLogix Inc. to provide a mobile technology computing platform in Abu Dhabi.

According to InfoLogix (Philadelphia), a provider of RFID based intelligence solutions, it will provide a healthcare mobility solution that encompasses more than 600 mobile point-of-care technology devices to support the implementation of a Cerner (North Kansas City, Mo.) healthcare information system across five hospitals.

This represents the first phase in an overall strategy for these hospitals to move from mobility to advanced RFID solutions, says the company.
