St. Joseph MC Taps Revenue Management Solution

St. Joseph Medical Center, a non-profit hospital located in Reading, Pa., has selected Alpharetta, Ga.-based McKesson Corporation’s Revenue
St. Joseph Medical Center, a non-profit hospital located in Reading, Pa., has selected Alpharetta, Ga.-based McKesson Corporation’s Revenue Management Solutions (RMS) group to manage its medical billing processes.

The medical center will deploy McKesson Practice Complete, a bundled solution providing RMS services including patient billing, accounts receivable management and reporting, Horizon Practice Plus practice management software, and RelayHealth payor connectivity services. According to the company, St. Joseph hopes to use McKesson’s reporting capabilities to enable managers at both the local and corporate level to use data obtained from patient encounters to develop benchmarks for practice performance.

St. Joseph Medical Center is affiliated with the 68-hospital Catholic Health Initiatives system headquartered in Denver, Colo. Founded in 1873 by the Sisters of St. Francis, the medical center provides a full-range of outpatient and inpatient diagnostic, medical and surgical services to Berks County’s 380,000 residents.
