NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is deploying an advanced automated dispensing system from Mountain View, Calif.-based Omnicell, Inc. to manage medication solutions throughout the organization.
Omnicell’s SinglePointe software is designed to enable staff to monitor and control medications throughout the hospital and pharmacy environments, which can help to reduce preventable medication errors, it says. With the implementation, the hospital aims to improve nursing and pharmacy workflows while increasing medication surveillance.
Based in New York City, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is the nation’s largest not-for-profit, non-sectarian hospital, with 2,242 beds.
