The Louisville Health Information Exchange Inc. (LouHIE), based in Louisville, Ky., is launching an eight-week e-health research initiative to assess the readiness of its 1.2 million consumers, healthcare providers, and related health information product and services firms to support a community-wide health record banking system.

The research is a joint effort of LouHIE, the Noblis (Falls Church, Va.) healthcare division, and the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences (UofL), Louisville, Ky.

Health information related product and service vendors can participate in the research and receive notices about future bidding opportunities by completing an online survey at www.louhie.org/research07.
