Emergis Acquires Unikoan

Emergis Inc. (Longueuil, Quebec) has acquired Unikoan Inc. (Toronto, Canada), a consulting, development and managed-services organization specializing in electronic health record (EHR) applications, for an initial cash payment of $15.3 million plus contingent consideration based on future financial performance.

According to Emergis, Unikoan was involved in the development and operation of the electronic Child Health Network (eCHN), a pediatric EHR system in operation across numerous Ontario-based healthcare facilities.

Emergis is a provider of electronic claims processing services, health record systems, and pharmacy management solutions.
