The Methodist Hospital System (Houston) has selected athenahealth's practice management and billing service, athenaCollector, for its physician organization, representing nearly 200 physicians.
According to Watertown, Mass.-based athenahealth, the physician organization will be using both athenahealth's services and Eclipsys Corporation's Sunrise Ambulatory Careoffering as part of an integrated clinical and financial ambulatory care solution to better connect its healthcare enterprise.
The Eclipsys' Sunrise Ambulatory Care and athenaCollector will integrate patients' clinical records between the outpatient care center and the rest of the enterprise, while enabling physicians to share clinical data, contends the company.
athenaCollector is a physician revenue cycle management offering that integrates Web-based practice management software, continually updated payer knowledge, and back-office processing specialists into a single service, says the company.
